Two Bread Products Are Being Recalled Due To Allergy Fears
A gluten-free bread company's white bread and everything bagels may contain gluten.
Wheat allergies, celiac disease, or gluten or wheat sensitivity may cause significant allergic responses.
Canyon Bakehouse, part of Flowers Foods, is voluntarily recalling products after testing showed probable contamination.
The white bread bears UPC 8-53584-00200-3 and Lot 032220323. Bagels feature UPC number 8-53584-00221-8 and Lot Number 032220316. Nobody is sick.
The bread was sold in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
Canyon Bakehouse cites Walmart, Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and others as retailers of its goods.
As a gluten-free bakery, the firm follows the GFCO's rules, according to its website.
"One suggestion entails checking baked items for gluten often and thoroughly. Some final baked items tested positive for gluten beyond GFCO regulations."
White bread or everything bagels with matching UPC and lot numbers should be rejected or returned for a full refund.
