Costco Is Alerting Problems With These 2 Products
Costco's online warehouse and app lack the sophistication of other rivals, but the business tracks every item a member buys.
This makes it easy to tell anybody who bought an unsafe, recalled, or withdrawn item. Costco buyers should know about two recent incidents.
Ventura Foods, LLC sent a notice to members who bought 1-gallon bottles of Saffola Safflower Oil between August 2-12 because the FDA recalled the product.
The firm states the oil is not 100% Safflower Oil but was accidentally combined with other plant-based oils. High-heat cooking uses safflower oil.
Costco doesn't reveal which warehouses sold the goods, but "return it to your local Costco for a complete refund" We regret any inconvenience.
Kirkland Signature 3-pound Local Honey jugs sold in 13 states had a label error.
Costco alerts members on August 19 that they bought Kirkland Signature 3lb Local Honey between January 2019 and August 2022. While the product is 100% pure honey, it may include non-local honey.
Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington sold the honey.
Like with Safflower Oil, the warehousing company says anybody having honey may return it for a full refund. Reddit users praise Costco for refunding and not pushing the issue under the rug.
Another agrees, referencing a recalled beverage warning. "Their items are top-notch.
Last time I bought premium protein shakes, I got an email indicating my batch was recalled. They refunded me halfway through the package. Costco!"
